Become the leader you want to be and thrive
As an woman engineer, former management consultant and HR Executive in the Professional Services space, coach and mentor, I have faced the challenge of developing my own leadership and helping others develop their leadership in adequation with the needs of their organisation.
I have noticed common behaviors which hinder our ability to be an efficient and recognized leader and climb the corporate ladder, such as:
Expecting others to spontaneously notice and reward our contributions.
Overvaluing our expertise.
Putting our job before our career.
Struggling to delegate.
Being caught by our emotions or the emotions of team members.
Not claiming our achievements.
Ruminating.
Seeing ourselves as an heroic leader.
Do these behaviors feel familiar?
My approach
The leadership development programmes I typically run for my clients contain the steps below:
Know yourself: your values, your leadership strengths, your skills. Some personality assessment tools can be provided to inform the reflection.
Identify your leadership challenges and what kind of leader you want to be; reflect on where you are "stuck" and how you can un-stuck yourself.
Understand which systems you are part of and what impact you have on your team members, supervisors, stakeholders.
Start to change: build your development plan, identify obstacles and start to implement your plan.
Discover some techniques/practical tools to help you on a day-to-day basis in relation with networking, communicating, embracing a systemic view of the situation, depending on the needs of the individual.
Each individual comes with a specific set of successes, challenges, motivations and limiting beliefs to be taken into account when developing leadership. Individual coaching sessions will be customized together to tackle your specificity.
